Just as you cannot construct a house without a comprehensive plan, you cannot defend a complex construction case without knowing what to expect every step of the way.  From the initial case strategy meeting through the negotiation of the settlement agreement, we work with adjustors, risk managers, owners, and field personnel to proactively identify and resolve problems and defend the rights of our clients. Wallace interacts with architects, construction managers and consultants to ensure that construction defect claims are streamlined to accomplish our clients’ objectives.

Prior to going into private practice, Mr. Hammons served as a prosecutor for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. There, Wallace was responsible for providing day-to-day legal advice to the State of Nevada, Real Estate Division, as well as prosecuting and/or litigating all Southern Nevada real estate civil related issues. During his tenure at the Attorney General’s office, Mr. Hammons successfully prosecuted numerous complex real estate cases, and recovered thousands of dollars in fines, costs, and restitution for the citizens of the State of Nevada, before the State of Nevada Real Estate Commission, State District Courts, and State Supreme Court.  In addition, Mr. Hammons served as Board Counsel for a state licensing board where his responsibilities included, without limitation, Board compliance with the open meetings laws and Brown Act.

While there are often many players involved in a complex litigation, Mr. Hammons believes that open and direct communication with those in the field is crucial to understanding the crux of a case. Even the most complex cases can be resolved quickly if the right facts are obtained early on. In many instances, he has dramatically reduced his clients’ legal exposure and expenses by providing accessible, understandable, and practical advice when it is needed.
